Benjamin qualified in 2005 after training at Beecham Peacock Solicitors in Newcastle upon Tyne. After this he worked for a couple of national firms. 

In 2017, along with his fellow Director, he opened Haighs Law Firm which is based on Team Valley in Gateshead and works across the North of England.
 
Benjamin specialises in representing Police Officers and has represented officers from over 25 different Police forces across the country. This work includes criminal matters, gross misconduct investigations & proceedings and Coronial Inquests, amongst other aspects. 

Alongside this, Benjamin is an Assistant Coroner for Teesside and Hartlepool and is a Visiting Lecturer with the University of Law in Manchester.
